Terminal-Driven AI Development for .NET with OpenCode

AI tools have already moved beyond their initial role as autocomplete assistants inside the IDE. A new approach to software development is emerging, where much of the interaction with AI happens through the terminal, while Visual Studio remains the primary environment for development, debugging, and validating results.

This session will demonstrate a practical approach to building .NET applications using OpenCode from the Windows Terminal. Through a real-world project, we will explore how AI can analyze an existing architecture, implement features across multiple projects and files, execute CLI commands, generate and run tests, refactor code, prepare documentation, and automate everyday development tasks.

The focus of the session is not on a specific AI model, but on a new development workflow where the terminal becomes the central place for collaboration between developers and AI agents. Attendees will gain practical insights into how this approach can be applied to their own .NET projects and daily development workflows.
